US Virgin Islands Most Expensive Properties
Many people travel to the Virgin Island to visit their world famous beaches, or swim in the beautiful blue waters. Some people come for the world class sailing or maybe the world class fishing. From the sunrise over the British Virgin Islands to the sunset over Calebra we find some of the most expensive properties in the Virgin Islands.
It comes without pause that most of these properties are located on St. John. We did not include any "pocket" listings, because these often exchange hands without actually going on the open market. We tried to stay away from bare land, but it was hard to keep the two exceptions out... (for good reason).
#1. Finally a chance for you to own a chuck of Paradise! ''South Beach, St. Croix'' - This incredible offering is a rare opportunity to purchase over 1800 acres of prime waterfront land, with 3 miles of beachfront along St. Croix's South Shore. Gorgeous sandy beach leads to gently sloping pastures up to rolling mountains overlooking all of St. Croix! Includes a natural navigable harbor with Coast Guard approved marker bouys in place. A slim $142 million and away you go!
#2. At an impressive 18,777 square feet, the most expensive listing currently on the market in the US Virgin Islands is located on St. John. Situated on 1.63 waterfront acres “Presidio del Mar” is truly a work of art. Located in Peter Bay on St. John this property boasts of elegance and luxurious finishes. With a four car garage, workout gym, pool, spa, and so much more this Villa is one of a kind. I am envious of the person who purchases this $32 million estate.
#3. Our next home is not on the MLS, however is advertised on the open market. It touches our hearts because to many it hold memories. Maho Bay is under a long term lease that will be expiring in 2012. This is one of the very few places in the entire Virgin Islands where you can have an "island" experience in paradise. It is currently set up as a camping destination. With 850 feet of white sandy beach frontage and right smack in the middle of the National Park, this parcel of land can be
set up as one acre lots. Hopefully for everyone who lives in the VI or has visited Maho Bay, we hope someone will purchase this property and continue to run it as the Maho Bay tent camp. So if you have a friend with a few $28.8 million they can spare, please let them know of an amazing opportunity to purchase 13.8 acres of the last privately owned beach front properties on St. John.
#4. Coming in at number four isthe Spectacular Historic Sugar Mill Estate Home on nearly 100 acres of gorgeous waterfront property. Located on St. Croix's north shore, this dramatic home sits high on a hill overlooking the Caribbean Sea and adjacent Virgin Islands. Imagine strolling from your house down to the sea thru its rambling hills and lush valley, past the pond and grazing cattle and wander along your very own shorefront! A recent price reduction of $5 million and you can now own this property for $9.9 million.

#5. Our final residence is another Peter Bay work of art. Each of the five
bedroom bath en suites has private balconies. The main living area is
fabulous, entry via coral stone courtyard to covered balcony
overlooking infinity edge pool to view surrounded by private courtyards
replete with wet bar, grill, powder room, hot tub, palm trees hammocks
and leeward outdoor dining. $8,495,000.
